About
Built by a teenager who got tired of waiting
SWG Department is the work of Oree Oebel, a teen founder from Oklahoma.
The short version
Oree Oebel started SWG Department because the clothes she wanted did not exist at a price she or her friends could pay. Baggy raw denim with a real cut and real weight to it was a two-hundred-dollar item. Everything affordable was thin, slim, and gone after a season.
So she went around the problem. She sources directly from the mills and factories that already make denim for brands several times our price, keeps the line small and the margins thin, and puts the whole thing online instead of into a store with rent.
The result is a tight range built on one idea: the fit should be generous, the fabric should be rigid, and the receipt should not hurt.
The goal
A million dollars in sales before she turns eighteen. It is written down, it is tracked, and it is the reason this company moves fast.

How we work
Direct sourcing
We buy from the same mills and cut-and-sew factories that supply labels charging three times our price. No licensing, no distributor markup.
Small, deliberate range
Ten pieces, not two hundred. Every cut earns its place, and we would rather restock a good one than chase a trend.
Honest pricing
Our margin is thin on purpose. The plan is volume and repeat buyers, not squeezing one sale.
Start with the denim
Six baggy cuts, all rigid, all under eighty dollars.
